Our goal is to accept students who have the skills, aptitude, and motivation to successfully complete the Executive MBA at Chicago Booth. As part of the admissions process, all applicants to the Executive MBA Program are required to submit scores from one of three standardized tests: Executive Assessment, GMAT, or GRE. These test scores help us to assess whether you have the quantitative, reasoning, and verbal skills required to succeed in our program. Importantly, there is no minimum score requirement for admission to the program. These scores represent just one of several criteria we use to make an admissions decision. We evaluate your entire application and do not base admissions decisions on any single criteria.
If you have questions about your current test score, our test requirements, or need help with selecting a test, please reach out to your local admissions office to discuss. We’d be pleased to offer you some personalized feedback.
The Executive Assessment test has been developed specifically for Executive MBA applicants by the Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC). Chicago Booth partnered with GMAC and five other leading Executive MBA programs to pioneer the Executive Assessment.
If you haven't already taken a test, we recommend that you select the Executive Assessment. It is the most suitable option for Executive MBA candidates based on length, content, and preparation time. The assessment has been designed to evaluate your readiness for the MBA Program and help prepare you to be a student. It focuses on skills that are critical at work and in an MBA Program: higher order reasoning, critical thinking, analysis, and problem-solving. The assessment requires less preparation than the GMAT exam, takes 90 minutes, and is easy to schedule.
Chicago Booth created a one-of-a-kind, exclusive webinar series to help prepare you to take the EA. There are two parts to the series, focusing on the Quantitative and Integrative Reasoning sections of the test. Each features a deep dive into the material, equipping you with tools to refresh your understanding of the material so you will know it for the exam and as you progress through your program.
