Executive MBA

Test Scores

Our goal is to accept students who have the skills, aptitude, and motivation to successfully complete the Executive MBA at Chicago Booth. As part of the admissions process, all applicants to the Executive MBA Program are required to submit scores from one of three standardized tests: Executive Assessment, GMAT, or GRE. These test scores help us to assess whether you have the quantitative, reasoning, and verbal skills required to succeed in our program. Importantly, there is no minimum score requirement for admission to the program. These scores represent just one of several criteria we use to make an admissions decision. We evaluate your entire application and do not base admissions decisions on any single criteria.

If you have questions about your current test score, our test requirements, or need help with selecting a test, please reach out to your local admissions office to discuss. We’d be pleased to offer you some personalized feedback.

EXECUTIVE ASSESSMENT

The Executive Assessment test has been developed specifically for Executive MBA applicants by the Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC). Chicago Booth partnered with GMAC and five other leading Executive MBA programs to pioneer the Executive Assessment.

If you haven't already taken a test, we recommend that you select the Executive Assessment. It is the most suitable option for Executive MBA candidates based on length, content, and preparation time. The assessment has been designed to evaluate your readiness for the MBA Program and help prepare you to be a student. It focuses on skills that are critical at work and in an MBA Program: higher order reasoning, critical thinking, analysis, and problem-solving. The assessment requires less preparation than the GMAT exam, takes 90 minutes, and is easy to schedule.

Executive Assessment: Select the Chicago Booth Executive MBA campus of your choice as one of the schools that have access to your Executive Assessment scores. Your Executive Assessment score is valid for five years. Learn more »

GMAT and GRE

Chicago Booth also accepts scores from the GMAT or GRE exams as part of the application process. To send us your GMAT or GRE score:

GMAT: Add Chicago Booth to the list of schools that have access to your GMAT scores through Pearson VUE and ACT, Inc. Our school codes are:

  • Chicago H9X-9F66
  • London H9X-9F-28
  • Hong Kong H9X-9F-71

The GMAT score is valid if the test was taken less than five years before the date of the application deadline. The test date makes no difference in the assessment of an application as long as it was within the past five years. Learn more »

GRE: Add Chicago Booth to the list of schools that should receive your test scores. The GRE score is valid for five years after the testing year in which you tested. Learn more »

Please note: The admissions committee will need an official score before students start the program. However, applicants may submit an unofficial score during the application process.
