Traveling to Chicago
Every weekend, around 70 percent of Booth Weekend MBA students travel to our downtown campus from states including California, Indiana, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Ohio, Oregon, Texas, Wisconsin, and more. These weekend warriors have a shared sense of curiosity and bring diverse backgrounds and perspectives into the classroom each week.
Traveling students can take advantage of:
Complimentary shuttle service to and from Midway and O'Hare airports on Saturdays
Discounted rates at nearby downtown Chicago hotels
Easy access to Booth resources on Saturdays, including student events, faculty members, the administrative office, academic advisors, and Career Services
Over 300 events are hosted each year by the more than 40 Evening-Weekend Student Groups at Booth. The majority of events are held on Saturdays, so weekend students have full access to participation and leadership opportunities. Larger events like the Winter Formal, MBA Cup, and family picnic are scheduled months in advance, giving our traveling students plenty of time to plan ahead.
Making the Commute
Most students arrive Saturday morning, take their one or two classes, and have plenty of time to study, network, and socialize before leaving town. Weekend students can also take a Friday evening course if their schedule allows. Those within driving distance often carpool with classmates from the same area. For the best perspective, we encourage you to connect with a weekend student who can share their experience and advice on making the commute.
